Expeditions.
-
South Pole.
The world’s Southern-most point. Anja skied solo and unsupported from the coast across almost 1400 km of vast whiteness to reach the pole.
-
Northern Canada.
One of Earth’s coldest places during winter turned polar bear hot spot during spring. Anja took the plunge into icy waters, and experienced both.
-
Seven Summits.
The highest summit on each continent, including Mount Everest. Anja climbed these in just under three years. A spectacular journey around the globe.
-
K2 and Broad Peak.
The world’s 2nd and 12th highest mountains. Anja climbed both mountains within one season and without bottled oxygen. This makes her the 11th woman worldwide to climb K2 NoO.
-
Nanga Parbat, GI, and GII.
The world’s 9h, 11th, and 13th highest mountains. Anja stood atop their respective summits within three weeks and without bottled oxygen.
-
Kangchenjunga and Makalu.
The world’s 3rd and 5th highest mountains. Anja scaled both without bottled oxygen and became the first German woman to summit Kangche.
-
Cho Oyu and Manaslu.
The world’s 6th and 8th highest mountains. Popular for their easy routes to the summit, and a journey through Tibet comes with Cho Oyu on top.
-
Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Everest.
The world’s 7th, 10th, and highest mountains. Her climb marks the first German female ascent of Annapurna I, and the 10th female NoO ascent worldwide of Mount Everest.
